Thank You

The Sni Valley Fire Protection District would like to THANK the citizens within our boundaries who supported us in the recent balloting question.  The approval of $3.9 million bond renewal will go a long way toward allowing us to grow as a fire district.  As stated on the ballot question these monies will be applied toward replacing our headquarters station, replacing our only ladder truck and to remodel our station #2 to allow for occupancy of full time staff.

The design of the new station will accommodate more staff positions, more apparatus and allow for more ways to train our firefighters for emergency situations.  This goes a long way toward allowing us to better serve our community.

The new ladder truck will replace an aging apparatus that does not meet current standards required for new apparatus.  This allows for firefighters to operate more safely on fire and EMS scenes.  In addition, the current ladder is starting to require more and more costly maintenance.

As for station #2 we are planning on a remodel that will take the station from a building that is designed for part time occupancy to a building that is designed to be occupied 24 hours a day.  The current station does not have sleeping quarters that are usable.  In addition, the truck bays are not designed for the larger apparatus currently owned by the fire district.  The remodel will address both of these issues allowing for a more productive use of the station.

Without the support of our citizens, these steps in the growth of our district would have been greatly delayed.  From all of us at the Sni Valley Fire Protection District, THANK YOU!!!
