NOTICE
City of Oak Grove Residents
NO BURNING IN OAK GROVE AT THIS TIME *****************************

Ordinance in effect - You may only burn twice annually within a 5-week period each. Otherwise, NO BURNING within city limits.

Fall 2009 Dates are:

November 1st thru December 6th 2009, 10:00 AM thru 3:30 PM

All patrons within the District, including the cities of Bates City and Oak Grove, must adhere to the following rules set forth by the Fire Chief:

  1. Obtain a burn permit from Sni Valley Fire
    Protection District. Contact Us.
  2. Call 816-690-6990 before you burn
  3. Ensure that all guidelines for burning are followed

Many of the restriction on burning are set forth by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources where public safety, life safety, your safety is priority. We realize that in past times that burning has gone unchecked and had been allowed without the use of permits, but now LAWS have changed. Its simple, call first and get the facts before you even consider burning.

Recreational burning and special permits may be granted after an evaluation of the burn site, weather conditions, and fire danger ratings.
